Weld County Get into the Guts event helps gain exposure to healthcare jobs to nearly 200 8th graders

A subcommittee of the partnership Workforce Committee, Get into the Guts held a successful event in Greeley at Aims Community College in November.

This Get into the Guts session included

  • 165 students from RE-4, RE-5J and District 6
  • 10 interactive exhibitor booths
  • Tours of the Aims’ Allied Health & Sciences building and Physical Education & Recreation Center

Student evaluations indicate the following:

  • 90% of students know more about current and future occupations in healthcare
  • 75% of students are more interested in working in healthcare in the future
  • 98% of students were glad they attended Get into the Guts
